Adorable boy looking for a forever home to call his own! Ben has been through a lot in his few short years on earth. Surrendered by his original owner to a kill shelter in Texas, pulled by a foster, then on a transport that should’ve been 2 days and took 6. All this time no one realized that Ben was in severe pain. An infected neuter and what docs believe was a car strike left him with a dislocated hip and necrotic private parts. Ben is recovering from 2 surgeries in a foster home.
All the pain and abandonment is behind him and he is healing and learning to trust again. Ben would love a quiet home with a patient experienced owner. He warms up and is sweet as can be to his foster family. He bonds quickly with one or two people but he is weary of newcomers. Ben is ambivalent with the older dogs in his foster. He could live with a calm dog or would be a good only dog as well.
