Harriet, Kai’s mom, was saved from a rural southern shelter. She went into labor within 24 hours of arriving at her foster home. Harriet was so thin no one realized she was pregnant in the shelter. Sadly, Harriet was incredibly malnourished and parasite ridden so only 2 puppies survived.

The first few weeks of life were tenuous but the pups eyes have opened, they are moving around, snuggling and starting to play with toys. They are adorable. We do not know who the dad is but they look like Ozzie who was found with Harriet.
